Started out running then slowed it to a massive brisk walk. Getting geared up for the 5k's coming up. Turkey Trot, Santa's Stroll, and possibly the Fido Run dash for da beads. IDK. It's still early. Always enjoy listening to my music while run/walking. Keeps me motivated.
Finished a quilt project for a special someone in my life. It turned out truly well. And, I used all the fabric that was around the house. So, was thrifty at the same time. I know they will truly appreciate it. Have been busy making Christmas Ornaments, and decorating the tree. It is done, and beautiful if I do say so myself.
Getting ready for Thanksgiving is such a task in itself. However, I did post a video for my sweet girl on how to bake a turkey my way.. :) was fabulous.
BTW, we still have TURKEY. .
I woke up one morning with a slight sore throat, that turned into a chest cold, then wham no voice, sicker than any old dog, and yapped at the doc for not signing off my physical. She was like. Uhm, NO you need to come back tomorrow and we will see. I said. pthhh. seriously.? She looked at me said seriously. I said fine. So, back next day. She listens then says, you need a chest xray. I said Oh just sign the form and let me go. Nope Kathryn, you are sick and I am not signing anything. I get the xray, she says you see that white spot right there. Yes. so. She says, drop your droors. I said, do what? She says, " I am giving you a shot of penicillin, you have Pneumonia. I said oh my gosh I do not. She said what do you think that white spot is? OH seriously? She says, " Yes, you need to rest." Then, it went from that to oh and here is another antibiotic, along with this cough medicine that will break up the stuff. Come back in a few days. Ok. So, low and behold zpack ineffective, switched to Zyvox. Am back almost 100%. Still get tired easily. But, have to say, 3 weeks of laying around has changed my figure. Sigh. I have packed on a whopping 14lbs. All that work, all that time, all that for nuthin. Other than I can DO IT AGAIN!. So, Back in the saddle I am. :) Has been quite the busy, freaking month to say the least. I thought I was almost over it, then wham. Relapse. I have discovered the true meaning of The Night Air. oh my gosh. Nothing made me cough more than that air.
On lighter notes; Enjoyed a full day out at the Burn Field in Henderson County. Was exhausting, and amazing all at the same time. Got a ton of time in the smoke, around the flames, and still smell it in my hair. hahahah.
Enjoy your time with your family. Remember to give thanks to God for everything. Remember to tell those around you how much you appreciate them, How much they mean to you, and How much you Love them daily.
Happy Thanksgiving peeps,
Webb
